The whole company of A. Horch & Cie. in the Ehrenfeld district of Cologne was born on November 14, 1899 by a man named August Horch (pictured to the left of the blog). Because he was always butting heads with the supervisory board, he had to make the decision and leave the company. A few years after that, he made another company: Horch Automobil-Werke GmbH. This was when the first Audi was made – I don’t think it had Audi Hub Caps on it, but it was still a nice car.
In 1909, Horch was forced out of his own company! After this, he started yet another company and continued doing what he did best. The partners that he had sued him because of “trademark infringement”, but then the German Supreme Court decided that Horch brand belonged to his former company.
Audi and Audi Hubcaps all started with a 2612 cc inline-four engine model. Then a 3564 cc model, as well as 4680 cc and 5720 cc models.
It’d be cool if you had one of these models!
