How to Keep your Hub Caps from Falling Off
There are several reasons why you could be having problems losing your hubcaps more often then you should!
1
Installation - Your hubcaps must be installed correctly EVERY time! Bending or cracking your clips can happen very easily if you're not careful. Please view our short “Hubcap Installation Video” so you know exactly what to do next time!
2Removal - Use a hubcap tool (or any other tool with a wide flat edge). DO NOT use a screw driver to remove your wheel covers or you will crack the hubcap and possibly hurt yourself as well! Please view our “Hub Cap Removal Video”.
3Design Flaws - Some hubcaps are just destined to fall off of your car. In most cases, it is simply a bad manufacturer design and a lack of support to the clips that hold the hubcap onto the wheel. No matter what the reason, there is not much you can do about it, except to change to a different style of hub cap. Call Hubcaps.com and ask if yours fits into this category and what alternatives you have. Even if you buy somewhere else, we still are always available to help solve your problems or answer your questions.
4Curb Damage - We all have scraped the curbs at least once! When this happens, aside from scratching the exterior of your wheelcover, you may break the clips on the back. This will mean the death of your hubcap the next time you hit a pothole or a bump.
5Bent Clips - If your clips are bent, you have repair them in order to keep from having to replace your wheel covers! We show you how to do this step-by-step in our short video “How to Repair Hubcaps”.
