Here at Hubcaps.com, we use a hub cap tool to install all of our hubcaps, wheelcovers and center caps. If you come to visit us and purchase hub caps or wheel covers, be assured that we’ll install those for you with the same hubcap tool that we’ve had for over 20 years.
Many people use a rubber mallet to install their hub caps and a screwdriver to remove them. We do not recommend this as the screwdriver is too narrow and sometimes breaks the hubcap. The rubber used on a rubber mallet is sometimes too hard and can ding the hubcaps, especially the older wheelcovers and dog dishes. Our hubcap tool is great because it has been designed with a wider extractor edge and softer rubber than a regular rubber mallet.
Our hubcap tool can be used with all caps except for those that are installed with lug nuts. The hubcap tool is especially useful for older wheel covers and center caps. It saves the life of your hubcaps and wheel covers. We love ours and use it daily.
